2025 Winner - Cannons Creek Boxing Academy​

Cannons Creek Boxing Academy (CCBA) is a powerhouse
of positive change in the Porirua community, dedicated
to empowering youth through boxing, mentorship, and
life skills. With 90 active rangatahi, programmes in 9 local
schools, and a growing waitlist, they foster resilience,
confidence, and belonging for young people from all
walks of life. Their professional, caring team goes above
and beyond to ensure equitable access, partnering with
local organisations, providing free classes, and offering
food and gear support. In 2025, athletes have trained and
competed across New Zealand and overseas, achieving
notable successes such as Wellington Championship
titles and national team selections. CCBA is more than a
gym; it’s a life-changing community hub transforming
futures, one young person at a time.
