The Dominion Post Sportsperson of the Year Awards is a formal dinner attended by Wellington's top sporting achievers, as well as local heroes. Be there to enjoy an evening with Wellington's premier athletes, coaches, volunteers and administrators.

HIGHLIGHTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO

• Come and listen to special guest Sir Murray Halberg, who is celebrating 50 years since his Gold Medal win at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Interviewed by Keith Quinn.
  

• Entertainment by Sacha Vee (Quartet).
  

• Induction of 3 new Sport Legends of Wellington. This award recognises Wellington ICONS OF SPORT who have made an outstanding contribution as an athlete.

• Join in the Auction for two fantastic items. (A framed NZ Silver Fern Singlet signed by Sir Murray Halberg and Peter Snell to celebrate 50 years since their gold medal wins at the 1960 Rome Olympics, and a one off print by Photography by Woolf of Wellington in all its morning glory).

• And of course find out who is Wellington Sportsperson of the Year.
